Disease 02:10
No red flag, no guiding light Isolation sells your sight to the sun A broken mirror, a little like hidsight So turn your back against your golden dawn Everything fades when there's nothing left to burn You step in line and politely wait your turn Into the furnace face first The gift of rebirth Only to take it all away Dream awake for days, remember nothing of your sleep Trapped in a razor wire world you wish you could leave Thieving goblins sell nothing from under their sleeve You sell yourself, man, you sell yourself to disease Fucking cancer, this picnic is canceled Cup half empty, hour glass half full Necromancer, this picnic is canceled Cup half empty, hour glass half full Only to take it all away.

Dethbed 03:11
Its the cake on your birthday Flowers at your wedding Friendly shells, poorly aimed Flowers on your grave Its the hell we never believed Could build these ugly fucking cities Strange nostalgia will slowly kill ya Or drive you insane So, so long sweet harmony Hello sweet heart attack The blood clots politely call you by your name So come, lay in my death bed Shake my death rattle Enjoy the spoils of my battle Fashionably late to my funeral They had to heard you there like cattle You dig deep you dive But dig too deep you die Under the inherent lie Another day at the pond Pretending its a sea on which to sail away Drinking from a Psychotropic cup Who must I be today? While we're all trying to sleep Under one wet blanket, barely able to breathe Fucked to death and doused in flames The forest retreats So, so long sweet sanity This inherent hate ain't so easy to aim Oh, while the cancer calls you home like lemonade.

The things we did, man Just to pay the rent We sold ourselves, man We sold our fucking friends No bed to wake up on, the wrong side of They got their arms wide, I got my arms tied Hornets in the beehive They will never be satisfied They've got honey dripping from their eyes like cyanide Their perfect swarm, will crush us all The things we did, man Just to pay the rent We sold ourselves, man We sold our fucking friends Smile for the camera, all hope abandoned Suffocating in your sad safety net

Ghost Slave 02:39
Its a long dusk... The sun sets in the west My ghost slaves pave new ways for me to undress, defile, detest But here in my new clothes Of flesh pulled over bone Meditation and water are wedded forever And I'm dry... The first thing that one must do Upon arrival to some place new Search under every stone For new flesh blooming on old bones Because I am my human shield Navigating my own mine field I am white phosphor, I am searing skin I am my own mother fucking puppet government I am the sweating hand Of the shaking finger that sits on the button As blood beats in it's cage full of cancer And the bone tree is blooming once again So as you make your way through the webs of the spiders you think you miss Licking on wounds you wish that did but never did exist In your warm bath water as the world burns around you You can choose but one of two Salve paved roads that come rise to meet you... then bend.
5.
They're all sick and depraved The other side of the glass Better deadbolt your gates And sound the alarm I've done nothing wrong Yet I shake in my shoes Its the same fucking song Same fucking fools Is the symbol thats on your sleeve The same thats on your skin? Is the power you swim in The same that you sleep in? Your uniform lies And reasonable force Have clouded your eyes And blackened your thoughts
6.
The mind burns brighter than The glazed eyes of water gazers The dark horse you're riding on Plays the part of the silent eraser Your burning mind, your great escape Your tired eyes, your red tide Caught in a landslide, lose sight of your sunshine An afterbirth of your quiet earth Backwards, running through forests full of flies Maggots make fine meals of your eyes Blinded by rotting regrets at sunrise Sail to your oblivious brightsides
7.
You sit and hide away where no one else can see you Wile away those days and lonely nights This house you've built has become your own mausoleum One cup of tea, no company You always blamed it on the others Instead of looking inside yourself You're the only one who's going to suffer When the world moves on Just how long do you spend staring at that empty space Remembering that smile upon your face? Now all thats left there is a faded stain Of a second cup and a knot in your brain What do you think they're gonna say As they stand around your grave? Funeral attendance low If anyone comes at all Funeral attendance low.

Covered in shit, climbing to where the grass is greener Come to think of it I don't know where we are Trying to pull apart this gut machinery Back to the basement where I don't want my razor, you don't want your scars How can you know your neighbor when you don't know what you are? Wrapped in anxiety, a gift for green eyes Vomit from a flat screen, an easy pleaser Homesick cities, sucking on bad dreams Confusion is a course filter, sorrow a breeder I don't want my razors, you don't want your scars How can you know your neighbor when you don't know who you are? Because I'm still wearing your make-up, still hearing your sad songs Why would you go and give up what you wanted all along? I don't want my razors, you don't want your scars How can you know your neighbor when you don't know who you are?

Flash Flood 03:00
No one is riding shotgun You take this long road on your own In the back seat of this saddest steed Tomorrow comes faster than sleep And your blue blood Will be your flash flood Your homeless heart, always Torn apart, to navigate Your blue blood Will be your flash flood Cemeteries of cement Plastic funeral parades Scream from beyond the interstate As oxygen gives way to carbon monoxide A pseudoephedrine breakfast, barely alive

Gutter Love 03:00
Slow poison, suicide nights Bodies lie upon rusty knives That cut into the sky above us Oh, we're gutter lovers In this piss stink darkness With backs against the wall Finally something to lean on Shiny things live in the beaks of birds Tin-can songs mistaken for pretty words Oh honey, there's no way we can fuck away this pain When all we've got is time To strive for a quiet mind, Stride into the quiet Lucifer, let me in Out of this longest, coldest night of cruel extinction.

about

This album was written in 3-4 weeks in a dank basement (that sometimes smelt like sewerage) in Lichtenberg, Berlin. The three of us would ride our shitty, barely functional bikes 10km there every day, rain or shine, practice and rant n' rave about songwriting for between 3 and 12 hours, then proceed to ride 10km back drinkin' the cheapest beers available.

It was then recorded in 3-4 days at Tonbrauerei in Neukölln, Berlin by Thies Neu. This also involved long days and a few Sternburgs.
